There are a number of existing LPWAN-technologies competing to provide M2M connectivity and secure a niche in the IoT universe. Most of the well-known LPWAN applications are familiar to the users thanks to the great marketing efforts that have been performed. Most of these are, however, not suitable for the robust long-range and large-scale networks we encounter.
