Safety audit of road traffic facilities

Fewer fatalities and injuries on Swiss roads, this is the goal of Via sicura. With the implementation of safety audits for road project systems according to SN 641712, road safety will be improved. The safety audit is a tool used to identify any shortcomings in security projects and to raise the safety level of the facility.

A2/A14 Traffic monitoring
On behalf of ASTRA, SWISSTRAFFIC set up a traffic monitoring for two highway connections Rothenburg and Emmen-Nord during 2012/2013.

A9 Traffic monitoring / Traffic management plans
The Office of National Roads has commissioned SWISSTRAFFIC for the entire traffic monitoring around Visp and for the preparation of traffic management plans during the construction of the both highway tunnels.

A9 Traffic management
The A9 south traffic bypass of Visp and the tunnels Visp and Eyholz will be putting into operation in 2019. SWISSTRAFFIC will show the effects on the traffic events due to different traffic conditions and analyse measures to optimize it and to keep a punctual schedule.

Signalisation database VBS
SWISSTRAFFIC creates the signalisation database for the Swiss Army for the whole Swiss territory for all military signals.

Bycicle traffic on A9 Simplon
On behalf of ASTRA, SWISSTRAFFIC reviews the security of the bicyclists on the Simplon street. The security of the bicyclists driving in the direction of the mountain shall improve due to passing lorries.

Agglo Freiburg
The agglomeration of Freiburg created the 2nd generation agglomeration program for the period 2015-2018 by using parallel studies. SWISSTRAFFIC is a member of the panel of experts in the field of mobility, which is assessing the parallel studies.

Bypass H189
A 5 km long bypass and two tunnels are reducing traffic congestion and improve traffic flow in Bulle - la Tour-de-Trème. SWISSTRAFFIC has provided the entire traffic modeling, including the impact analysis of flanking measures, the concept and the implementation of the signalisation.
