Step 1: Open a my.SWISSTRAFFIC account
1 - Create your account for free
2 - Activate your account

3 - Buy Credits
In order to edit further videos with my.SWISSTRAFFIC, you need credits. Go back to my.swisstraffic.com and click on "Account". Under "Buy Credits" you can now buy the required number of credits and purchase them against invoice (prepayment) or credit card (Paypal). As soon as we have received the money, the credits will be credited to your account.
Step 3 - Analyze results
1 - Wait 1 hour for your video to process
Once your video has been uploaded, the process starts immediately and automatically. You don't have to specify anything. Traffic data is captured from the video using my.SWISSTRAFFIC's artificial intelligence algorithms. Each video is processed in 1 hour, regardless of its duration (yes, the video is ready in 1 hour or 1000 hours).
2 - Analyzing data, counting traffic
Now it's time to analyze your traffic data collected from the video. Click the "Traffic Analytics" button in your camera to display the "Describe scene" screen. Here you can view traffic patterns and various other heat maps (toolbox on the right).
You can choose between Movements, Events and Scenarios.
- Movements: Here you define all turn relations, zones and counting lines.
- Events: Here you can define conditions for certain events such as the number of pedestrians who had to wait longer than 5 seconds in a certain zone.
- Scenarios: Here you can link Movements and Events together with the conditions "AND", "OR", "THEN".
3 - Create reports
Simple traffic figures are displayed directly on the "Describe scene" screen. However, to view advanced results, click "Analyze data" at the top of the menu. This opens the "Analyze data" screen. For example, traffic figures, peak times, transit time development and many others. You can download all charts by clicking on the three dots at the top right of the chart. You can also use this icon in your Excel report with the desired time interval granularity, object class settings, and so on.
Step 2: Upload your video
1 - Log in
my.SWISSTRAFFIC Video Insights is child's play. There are two ways to upload a video: manually via the browser or automatically via the Enterprise API. This quick guide describes the manual option.
2 - Create a camera folder
Camera is a folder where you upload videos from the same scene. To create a new camera, click the "New Camera" button in the top menu. Enter the camera name in the simple dialog box and click "Save". You can change the name later at any time or switch to a different camera group.
3 - Select the video to upload
Now you can upload your first video. Simply drag the desired video file from your computer to the camera, or use the upload dialog by clicking "Upload Video" in the upper menu. You can upload any video in standard MPEG4 format such as *.mp4, *.avi. Here you can change some of the video metadata in the Video Upload dialog box, such as the start date of the video.
